memory leak that is. evidently, the latest viewer leaks and eventually crashes, especially if you are around a lot of avatars
some people noted this and already commented on the sl blog post and sl mentions that you should get the latest vid card drivers to help with that issue. staying up-to-date with your drivers is important (and easy)
we do that plus we keep our registry clean with CCleaner and defrag like fools with Defraggler (well, one of us is a fool with that – but i won’t mention any quantum-particled-named avatars) =p
there is also praise for the Emerald viewer in the comments of that sl blog post. we have not tried the Emerald viewer but several peeps we know say it rocks and gets better frame rates
maybe it’s time to try it? o_O

Yeah like I said last night, you should give Emerald a try. For all those little extra features that make life a little more animated :-)8 <– note the jigging below the smiley :-P
