this is highly specific but might help some people using sim-on-a-stick if you get the MoWeS error that Apache is not running, your OpenSim grid should still work fine. the thing that won’t work is Diva’s nifty Wifi admin panel. that panel let’s you create new user accounts (in case you don’t want to be Simona [...]

uses for OpenSim on the USB drive

as a tool to develop content and even terraform, OpenSim on a usb flash drive works quite well. i can happily build and then take those builds, either as exported objetcs (what i actually use my USB OpenSim for) or as OAR files (complete regions including scripts within objects) for example, say i am stuck [...]
