subQuark’s new look for our virtual world stuff

our OpenSim estate (i guess they call them estates in other grids?) is all about making a place for anyone to use (like our sandbox), for people to meet (lots of informal places to sit and chat and still working on the more formal places), and for environmental science field trips. subQuark is writing field notebook activities that will use the stuff that the iliveisl team is building. he is planning on offering these to private and public schools and to home schooled students. there are five people working on the estate that are contributing to those three goals

while it seems like a big deal to build out 16 sims for this, the biggest part is writing the curriculum for the science field trips. now it is a lot of work making all the stuff, but it’s also easy to show that progress with flickr pics and simply logging in and checking it out. writing the lab manual workbook things (not really sure what subbie is terming them) is a long process and also involves supporting online stuff like his site

but . . . woohoo, he has a new index page up and it looks pretty nice imo. lol, two of the four links don’t go anywhere yet, but it sure is a pretty site (yes, that is really his shoe complete with subQuark embroidered on it!!!) =D

clickie to go to the full size foot! =p
