  1. Question: are these full regions or Homesteads, or a mixture?

  3. good questions, i believe this is all private regions combined

lol, we know that there are less than 300 openspaces but there are likely a good number of homesteads too

overall, the 500 region drop since june seems like a lot at $150k a month, but they are still pulling in around $6-7 million per month (not sure how to see number of ed discounts and so on or grandfathered oldies)

i snagged this data from http://www.gridsurvey.com/economy.php and tried to chart it with OpenOffice, but i am no graph expert like tateru =)

  4. pity mine only lasted about 5 months

  5. don’t be hard on yourself – you did something that, despite it seeming like many people have sims, not many people in the world have done. it is serious business having a sim and dealing with keeping it going. so don’t discount your accomplishment

i am sorry to see it go, but i know how it feels and it is not an easy decision to make

    =)

  7. I’m just surprised that the number of regions hasn’t consistently declined. They are so expensive. And there is so much open land for sale or lease.

  8. SL’s loss has been InWorldz gain, for sure. They must have grabbed some of these people. They increased from 250 regions to 500 between 1st july and 1st September.

  9. SL sims are crazy expensive Sunny – you’d have to be like that girl in that commercial (not the one that makes me think of you, the other one)

on that data, the amount of land for sale by people has steadily dropped as the price per metre has too so not sure why the decrease has not been over a longer time Micheil

soror! =) yes indeed, great point and clearly speaks to what residents are looking for! well put!

  10. Just looking the the graph, my question is… Why the spike in June to begin with? Seems to be if you remove the spike, the graph would be flat for this period of time. The reason I ask is… My observations on the virtual ground in 2nd Life just don’t seem to play out with this data.

  11. i was wondering that too, it is a big spike for a 30 day period!

7.6% of Private Estate regions are Full Regions, 41.8% Homesteads & 0.6% Openspaces as of August 30th according to Tyche Shepherd

  12. Very strange… This is especially so since the real estate company I have been renting from since I sold my last full sim seems to have issues keeping their sims filled and meeting tier.

  13. there is always a lag between demand and supply i found. when it seemed that there should be people looking for land they weren’t

i hate to hear of a group struggling like your estate owners, i struggled for a few months longer than i should have and simply did not see being able to keep at it under the circumstances
