Sarge is also my “go to” expert for all things AuroraSim and an outstanding virtual world builder – his work in creating Excelsior Station is meticulous and imaginative
he also has a very handy reference article on OpenSim viewers and is a huge supporter of role playing development
it is with great pleasure that i publish a press release from him that will be a positive change in the OpenSim community:
Grid Press Under New Management
Between Zetamex, AuroraScape and Grid Press, the demands on Timothy Rogers’ time have been increasing at an increasing rate. To ease those demands, Timothy has chosen to pass the management and administration of Grid Press on to Sarge Misfit. This change of management will occur on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Grid Press will continue to support the OpenSim community by providing a voice for the community as well as reporting OpenSim news.
However, this role will be expanding to include the growing community of AuroraSim users as well as AuroraSim based grids. There will also be new features added, such as listings for events, community announcements, resources and more.
According to Sarge, “Grid Press will be undergoing quite a bit of change. But nothing sudden or drastic. I want Grid Press to grow from being a blog to being a community news publication. I will be striving to make it the number one source for news and information for the OpenSim/AuroraSim Metaverse.”
congrats Sarge and the virtual world community will be a richer place with this change! =)
I think it was a great choice I don’t think I could have been any happier with anyone else who would have taken it off my hands.
