InWorldz Ener Hax freebie store “new” items

there are a four items that were not for sale in the freebie shop that now are (or soon will be)

it was a bit funky to update because the shop was created in Kitely and exported before my account was downgraded. so that Ener Hax can’t upload the store to Kitely without either paying for a membership or removing Hax Nuit. since Hax Nuit has over 35,000 prims, i wouldn’t be able to put it back up after editing the store due to the 15K Kitely limit (i think, but it doesn’t matter)

the lesson here is that i should have built the original store as a Sim-on-a-Stick build and always mod the SoaS one and then upload it

the Ener Hax that built the store isn’t the same as the Ener Hax i create an SoaS account for so she can’t edit anything. BUT . . . loading the OAR to SoaS means that Simona Stick can edit items and it still shows that Ener Hax made them

all of that to say, as soon as Tranq swaps out the InWorldz Ener Hax Freebie Shop, and as long as i didn’t break anything, then you will be able get the four things indicated below (why does it say courtesy subQuark? well, those are builds specific to Enclave Harbour and are legally owned by the evil company called subQuark, LLC, but now InWorldz peeps are free to use them) =D

  1. This is awesome!

Thank you Ener for doing this. I know there were a few people asking about the other items.

I should be able to get this newer version loaded up by Monday.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  2. Ener, in Kitely all accounts (Regular/free and Premium/$19.95 per month) have at least one full-fat metered region allowance – that’s the sort with 100K prims, and 100 avatars max. The free Regular account includes one full-fat metered region, and the Premium five full-fat metered regions.

“Metered” means that the time Regular account holders spend in that world is paid for by the world manager, at 1 KC per minute (so 5 inworld hours costs about 5 USD). Visits by Premium account holders don’t cost the world owner anything — an improvement from the previous regime.

This means you will be able to upload both Hax Nuit and the shop OARs as before, to your account’s included full-fat metered region. The only thing that has changed is that the fee for OAR work is now a flat 150 KC whatever the size of the world.

The 15K prim limit applies to the basic unmetered region (Starter World), which costs $14.95 per month. The fees for uploading and downloading OARs is included in this monthly cost (so nothing extra to pay).

I’ve gone for a Premium account plus a Starter World — using the latter for backup purposes and small inworld meetings, and the former for hosting various Devokan regions.

  3. Apologies — there’s a typo in the above.

For metered worlds, Regular account holders spending a total of 5 hours in a metered world costs the world manager about 1 USD worth of Kitely credits (KC), not 5 USD.

  6. Sorry to read you removed the freebie shop from Kitely when the likelihood is that grid will be Hypergrid enabled within the next few months and more people would have gained access to it from all over the Metaverse. Moving to Inworldz is fair enough but the chances of that grid ever opening up to the free Metaverse is about the same as Second Life which is practically nill.

Still, it’s your shop and your decision and Inworldz has been developing very nicely so why not in deed? Pity you never added a freebie plot to Hax Nuit before you downgraded since that is still at Kitely.

  7. Hi Ener,

You were previously using time-based billing worlds in Kitely (what we now called Metered Worlds) and they continue to offer the exact same 100,000 prim capacity that you were spoiled with. In other words, any single Metered sim can have 100,000 prims just like it used to :-)

You could put Hax Nuit in another Regular Account and use that account’s free region quota to host it without needing to upgrade to a Premium Account. If you limit access to that world to just (yourself and) Premium Account users then you wouldn’t have to pay for the time other people spend inside that world. In other words, you have a simple way to continue to have Hax Nuit hosted on Kitely, with room to grow to up to 100,000 prims, without it costing you anything more than the 150 KC it will cost you to upload the OAR file for that world (you have significantly more than that in your existing balance so you don’t have to spend any money out of pocket even for that).

    Just saying… :-)

  8. lol, i don’t think in terms of gaming the system and having two free accounts sounds like that to me. that would be taking advantage of you and that doesn’t sit right by me

you have had great press from me and it’s time for me to do great press for our current endeavors – things that will put money in our pockets

now to find my own Ener Hax cheerleader . . . =D

  9. Okay, no pressure… but it would probably cost us less than it does the current grid you’re hosting it at gratis… :-)

In any case, we appreciate all the coverage you’ve given us and would be happy to have you “game the system” to host another one (or more) of your sims for free in Kitely. We have no policy against people using alts to create additional worlds.

Ah, and good luck with your current endeavors Ener :-)
