green with envy – pantone 2013 colour of the year

emeraldPantone’s 2103 colour of the year is an important consideration for any professional virtual world designer – be it one who does clothing, buildings, furniture, and even accessories

Pantone is the authority on global colour trends because they set the trend and are used in the real world from everything like toasters and appliances, to hats, shoes, wall paint, and even TV and movie sets

i liked last year’s tangerine mango a bit more, but this green isn’t bad and expect to see this everywhere!

  • RGB value is 0, 152, 116
  • HEX is #009B77
  • CMYK is 86, 8, 57, 0

  1. Oh woah, I’ve seen this colour before. Seen it in clothes, on cars, on surfboards, in company logos, on purses, rucksacks, flipflops, beach towels, you name it. It was very chique back then.
When was it? Ah, yes, early 80s!

  2. good catch Orca! i suppose that many of the designers at Pantone were born after that time! =p

as an RGB colour, especially in OpenSim, it looks a bit washed out but fashion is fashion! =)

hmm, i should try my hair as such (like Scott Pilgrim versus the World!) =D
