Prokofy engages in, what I call, “Train Wreck” journalism.

It is accusatory, combative, negative, and quite clever in its strategy – people come back for a look at the train wreck. Its human nature.

But we see what she does there, and its a technique borrowed from some sports writers, tech journalists, and the more commonly, radio shock jocks.

Prokofy engages in classic Low Culture. Jerry Springer does not attract an audience for a program of High Culture.
