Well there is one career opportunity I hadn’t thought of.
Actually, I think I’ll go on not thinking of it!
I was struck by the way they are described as owning the avatar, and having built an avatar personality for business purposes. An interesting sidelight on how people relate to their avatars.
Excellent picture by the way – good concept and composition both.
Raised a smile.
the pic was innocent for a new street lamp i built last night and wanting to see how it looked at night. once placed on flickr, the degenerate thoughts came out and . . .
interesting about Anshe Chung eh? she started as an escort before there were sophisticated animations available in Second Life and was evidently good at playing individual gestures in appropriate sequences
I remember finding a post about the Cannabis Cathedral connection a few years ago, although they didn’t post the notecard. @Ener since the streetlight is almost done, any a chance that a replica of the cathedral will be included in the freebies?
Besides Chung’s real estate market, she’s in currency exchange, Entropia banks, and Frenzoo and IMVU content. What I heard was that IMVU needed financial assistance several years ago and they worked out a sweetheart deal.
I know this has been covered before, but I always feel the need to reiterate it – the “Ansche Chung” story was a catapult for Second Life. Things could have been different without that story.
The resulting cash flow into second Life from those wanting a piece of the pie enhanced the content greatly.
Todays virtual worlds could learn a thing or two if that is the direction they wish to go(and nothing wrong with that).
you are right joe – Anshe did some kind of exclusive banking deal with IMVU and is basically a success in many different virtual world settings
you are right Breen, i was a person who was swayed by Anshe’s success. i studied her properties and pricing for 6 months before getting my first sim. while i take responsibility for my demise inSL, getting in early helped her (the $195 tier) and having easy access to a Chinese workforce for dollars per day was a help too
