I was appalled yet again when I saw that LL gave the ax to United Avatars. Yet another nail in the coffin. It just seems to me that they don’t want us to like SL anymore. Well I started a website this past April called OpenSimLife. I wanted it to a place where people could go and it would sort of be like Facebook, but just for virtual worlds. The features on the site are really nice and I’ll highlight just my favorites so I don’t bore anyone ;-)

I love that you can make your own group and in your group you can share pictures and video’s that you have created in your virtual world. You can send out mass mailings to your group members and even have a group chat room.

The other thing I like about OpenSimLife is you can post your events on the event tab and it will show up on the first page for everyone to see.

The Magazine tab is actually a blog. So if there is anything you ever want to blog about like your store, sim, land rental, sales, or any business you have in world, this would be the place to blog. It also shows up on the home page until someone else blogs.

Since I mentioned the site on Ener Hax’s blog I’ve had 15 new members in just a few days. I’m really excited that people are starting to use the site. Since it’s completely FREE to you, why wouldn’t you try it? I do have some ads on the site so I can possibly pay for it. But I want to keep it free and useful for everyone. If anyone has any idea’s I’d love to hear them. I just purchased a widget for Flickr to be brought onto the site (a request from a short white girl that loves to take pictures).

I love to meet new people and this is a great way to get a lot of people in the same place at once to meet. Be sure to add me when you join and for pete sakes have fun!!! LOL!

Getting store setup

Now that I’ve got some things up on the website, I’m getting the store set up and items imported in. I even created a script that when you touch the board in the store, it will take you straight to the website for easy viewing and purchasing. I’m not the best at blogging, but I am trying. I must admit that I’m a bit discouraged with SL right now. I was a 18 hour a day addict and now I can barely stand being on. I’m selling my sim to a dear friend and keeping Sun Made Fashions & Male Styles on Solare. But the idea of not owning a sim is very appealing to me. It’s REALLY nice to have a new distraction with Reaction Grid. The one thing that I have been the most impressed with aside from the BRILLIANT Ener Hax is how the owners of a Opensim are so friendly and willing to help. That has made a huge impact on me and I really want to do a spectacular job for them. I’m crossing my fingers :-D

Ok back to work for this girl.

Hi everyone! It feels great to have such supportive and positive people around me. I feel my creative juices flowing. I’ve been working hard to get lots of products in and to set up the website (http://www.totalavatarshop.com) and the store on Enclave Harbor. I’ve even had a few sales! The whole process of exporting/importing, re-attaching items is very tedious but I’m really enjoying the process. What I’d like to do for now is when you purchase something from the website, we can setup a meeting time so I can deliver your items to you since it’s a little hard to find people in Reaction Grid. I’m sure that will get easier as I add friends and know where people are or will be. Also, be sure that you add the avatars name in the comment area in Paypal. That will help so much!
