Age verification ONLY occurs if you go through Aristotle (doesn't work for me =p), where as adult verification works if you have payment info OR if you're age verified. Incidentally, if you do have Adult content, just putting up ban lines (for age-verification) wouldn't make you compliant anyway. Your region has to be rated Adult. The restriction to age-verified residents is unrelated to that.
