To paraphrase a commercial …

was that for M&Ms or potato chips? i wonder if they would sponsor me (maybe sponsor my trip to the funny farm!) =D
by the way, the blocks are linked sets of 2000 prims each

It was Lay’s potato chips “Bet you can’t eat just one” :-D
I started with blocks/cubes of 1,000 (10prims x10 x 10)but then linked a 10 block strip into a 10,000 prim object. Got the first layer done for a total of 100,000. Its kinda fun watching the new ones rez from shift-copy.

you know ener, when they fired up the large hadron collider in switzer-france i was excited because i thought the rumors of it generating a destructive spatial singularity were plausible. you can understand my disappointment when this failed to occur. today i believe that dream may become a reality in my lifetime through a combination of your ocd, (erm, determination), the unexplored potential of soas and the fact that 1,000,000 prims is close to the relativity threshold for portable apps. since we all know you’re headed there (aren’t you?) here are a few tips from my yet unpublished “unofficial guide to high-risk / low-profile d.i.y experiments in theoretical physics for non-profit applications”:
1. start packing your pc in dry ice to increase processor efficiency (and create that cool floor-hugging fog effect)
2. attach a long cable (non-metallic of course) to your soas thumb drive so that you can at least salvage your work even if your computer implodes into someone else’s universe
3. avoid eating a heavy meal (say, poutine in your case) on the “big day”. some of the greatest potential scientific disasters and/or achievements have been derailed by sudden food comas and emergency gastrointestinal venting.
well, hope that helps just a tiny bit and i wish you the best of luck with your amazing experiments ;) go ener!

we will all use portable apps, like Johnny Mnemonic! =D
